I realised that I have a lot of clothes! Nothing new there then! So... I feel I should relay tales of the wonderful Czechoslovakia Czech Republic! We arrived from a wonderful British Airways flight at approximately 6pm Prague time and were picked up by a young dude who drove sooooooo fast into the centre of Prague - which by the way looks incredibly Eastern European and slightly run down in a 'we only got rid of Communism 15 years ago' type-way! We pulled up outside The Atlantic Hotel in 'Na Porci' I'm not quite sure what that means... but we found out later that it was only a little way from Namesti Republicky - Republic Square which was a really central point in the city - wicked! Anyway, off we went with the luggage and the young driver had to come and get us twice as we firstly tried to got to the wrong hotel, and secondly as we went down a service tunnel at the side of the hotel! That sorted we checked into our hotel! The room was the most amazing thing - it was absolutely massive, and the en suite was just that - sweet!
Finally we got around to eating and decided to go down to a restaurant just down from the hotel and managed to eat for under £10! Jake had a really big German sausage pizza and I had - well anyone who has ever eaten out with me at a restaurant will know what I ate - Spaghetti Carbonara. We both then drank a half litre of Budweiser (the original - not the American version - you might know it as Budvar) which was so tasty - beer in England just doesn't compare! So that was my first day in the Czech Republic - hopefully I'll be back soon to tell you more!
